Grip Fighting & Techniques
Shuai Jiao is a jacketed style of Chinese wrestling developed from traditional Manchu and Mongolian wrestling. While there are many distinct differences, Shuai Jiao is most commonly compared to Judo, and emphasizes throws, takedowns, and various grappling techniques.
This workshop is designed to accommodate all levels and backgrounds, and will provide a comprehensive introduction to basic principles and strategies of grip fighting in Shuai Jiao and techniques found within Shuai Jiao practice.
Whether you’re looking to improve your standup wrestling game, enhance your mental focus, or just want to try a new physical activity, we encourage you to come experience this unique style of wrestling through immersive and hands-on training.
